Occupational Therapist
We are seeking a registered Occupational Therapist to join our growing team. You will be assessing clients for the auto insurance industry. Duties will primarily include conducting assessments/authoring reports to determine client eligibility for benefits.
Job Description
- As an Occupational Therapist with JSOT you will be conducting two assessments per day and associated paperwork, four days per week, with the fifth day used for additional paperwork completion.
- As an Occupational Therapist with JSOT you will be conducting community-based insurance/legal assessments on behalf of our referrers to determine an injured individual’s access to services.
- As an Occupational Therapist with JSOT you are responsible for completion, submission, and subsequent edits of reports to our referrers through JSOT.
- As an Occupational Therapist you will be responsible for maintaining service levels (quality and due dates) expected by our referrers with respect to submitting reports, edits, addendums, and paper reviews.

- A competitive salary with compensation for use of car, computer and phone. Salary starts at $75,000 for new grads and is adjusted according to the candidate’s experience. Car and other expenses are compensated separately

Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy or a Bachelor of Science degree (OT). Minimum of 3 years experience as an OT is preferred but not essential. New grads are welcome to apply.
- Registered and in good standing with the Ontario College of Occupational Therapy.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Provision of a valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle is essential.
- Full knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook
